Buduburam: Church organizes free Skills Training for Youth.

In a groundbreaking initiative aimed at empowering the youth and fostering skills development, the Young of Grace (YOGG) has joined forces with the Armies of God Evangelistic Outreach Network International (AGENOI) has organized 4 days comprehensive skills training program within the Buduburam community in the Awutu Senya East of the Central region.

The four (4) days of skills training and entrepreneurship commenced Monday, 10th February 2025, and it will be claimed with the dinner program on Friday, 14 February to claim the program.
The program, which spanned for 4 days, focused on various vocational fields, providing the youth with practical knowledge in areas such as Liquid soap production, cookies and pastries, small chops, free makeup training, digital marketing and cryptocurrency, legal awareness in Ghana and business ethics to ensure effective business relationship.

The program was under the theme "Empowering the next generation, building faith, skills and self-reliance" through skills training.
Collaboration
The collaborative effort between YOGG and AGENOI is part of a larger strategy to address youth unemployment and equip young individuals with the skills necessary for self-sustainability. Recognizing the role of churches as integral community hubs, the program was strategically implemented within the Buduburam community.

The skills training program witnessed enthusiastic participation from young people eager to acquire new skills and enhance their employability. The diverse range of courses offered ensured that participants could choose areas of interest that aligned with their passion and potential career paths.
According to the founder and leader of YOGG, Rev. Shadrach Osazee Cross, the program formed part of his religious beliefs and obligations as a preacher to support the youth with skills to limit social vices in the area.

"This area has been tagged as a hub of prostitution, armed robbery, and a place of bad activities, but l will use any given opportunity to transform so many youths in this refugee camp " he asserted.
According to him, the initiative exemplifies the commitment of the church to the holistic development of our youth. We believe that by providing them with practical skills, we are not only contributing to their personal growth.

Notably, the art of makeup course provided insights into the art craft of makeup, wig cup making, and nail fixing. The digital marketing and content creation training equipped participants with the necessary skills for creating content they are good at and attracting traffic on their social media platforms.

The 3D Epoxy training delved into the world of modern design and aesthetics, giving participants hands-on experience in creating visually stunning surfaces. Additionally, the Pastries production course honed baking skills, potentially opening avenues for entrepreneurship in the food industry.

Reverend Shadrach Osazee also expressed his excitement about the program’s success and the positive impact it has on the youth. He stated, “This initiative exemplifies the commitment of the church to the holistic development of our youth. We believe that by providing them with practical skills, we are not only contributing to their personal growth but also supporting the economic development of our nation.”

Mr. David M Asaana, the CEO of Global International of Entrepreneurship and Technology and digital marketer, emphasized the importance of such partnerships in addressing the challenges of youth unemployment. The program’s success has sparked discussions about the potential expansion of similar initiatives in collaboration with religious institutions across the country.
As the participants complete their training, the hope is that they will leverage their newfound skills to create opportunities for themselves and contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic fabric of Ghana. The YOGG and AGENOI partnership stands as a beacon of hope, demonstrating the positive impact that collaborative efforts can have in shaping the future of the nation’s youth.
