Volta: Dr. Jerry John Nutor donates learning materials to UHAS School of Nursing and Midwifery.

Dr. Jerry John Nutor, an Assistant Professor at the University of San Francisco, donated over 500 books to the UHAS School of Nursing and Midwifery (SONAM) which covers majority of subject areas in nursing, midwifery, medicine, pharmacology, quantitative and qualitative research, data analysis, tablets and other equipment for the skills lab.

As a fellow of Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Program (CADFP), Dr. Nutor stated “I have decided to do a book drive this year that can be used to support teaching and learning in the various schools of the University."

Professor Peter Adatara, Dean of SONAM who received the items on behalf of the school indicated that this is the second time in a row that we have received such a donation. “We are grateful for the additional resources that were mobilized and we are hopeful that it will go a long way to train healthcare personnel."

Subsequently, Professor Adatara presented the items to the Assistant Librarian of UHAS, Dr. Hawa Osman.
Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Program (CADFP) is a scholar fellowship program for educational projects in research, teaching, and mentoring in African higher education institutions.
