Rhyda has played and continues to play significant roles in the development of Women’s Cricket in Ghana.
Apart from securing sponsorship for the senior team, she has been a pillar in developing the talents in Obuasi, where she lives.
Rhyda, who has led the team since 2015 is poised to make an impact with her participation and she expressed her delight to TalksenseSports.
“I am super excited. It is my first time traveling outside to play for a team, especially as a Ghanaian cricketer”
“The impact will be huge for cricket in Ghana especially women’s, it will pave the way for the rest of the girls. Will be meeting different kinds of people from different countries to build some connections.”

Miss Ofori has also been given a vice captainship role to play and she’s expected to exhibit her leadership roles to get results for defending champions Atlanta Pearls.
“It will affect my career positively, first time going to play with the pearls, and have been given the mandate as vice-captain of the team. I am going there to make a statement.” She added.
The GWCA believes Rhyda’s participation will further help in the promotion and development of women’s cricket in the United States of America.

Obuasi Cricket Festival, organised by Rhyda in 2023 is seeing its second edition in a different format which is keeping the cricketers active, with matches during weekends.
