A power surge has been reported at the SBBS Block of the Perm Site, prompting an urgent warning to students to avoid using electrical appliances until further notice.

The incident occurred at the early hours of Thursday 30th May 2024, with reports of a sudden and brief power outage affecting the block. While the site's electrical team has been deployed to investigate and rectify the issue, students have been advised to exercise caution and unplug any gadgets or appliances to prevent potential damage or risk of electrical shock.

The SBBS Block, which houses several student facilities, offices and lecture halls, remains open, but students have been advised to avoid plugging in laptops, chargers, or other electrical devices.
