A National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Hopeful for the Akatsi South Constituency in the Volta Region, Mr. William Worfa Kpormatsi, is causing a lot of stir in the constituency in his third attempt to annex the parliamentary seat for the opposition NDC.
This development is coming ahead of the vetting of the candidates scheduled for Wednesday, 29th March, 2023 to be followed by the parliamentary primary and flagbearership elections on Saturday, 13th May, 2023.
Speaking to journalists in an interview at Akatsi, the forty-five (45)-year old Business Management Consultant, Investment Banker and Accountant said, his decision to serve his good people, has been a long-standing dream.
According to him, having his basic and secondary school education at Akatsi before achieving his higher academic educational laurels outside the constituency, had afforded him the opportunity to acquaint himself with the basic and relevant needs of the people of Akasti South. ‘Even though my people did not give me the nod to serve them in my two previous shots at the seat in 2013 and 2020, I am very optimistic and confident that this time round, the good people of Akatsi South would give me the golden opportunity to humbly represent them in the country’s Legislature’, Mr. Kpormatsi intimated.
He emphasized that the time had come for Akatsi South to rapidly accelerate in its development agenda, adding that he is the only one currently clothed with the needed skills and connections to provide that vehicle for the constituency to achieve its vision in this 21st century.
