Brief background of Captain Smart

Captain Smart, born Blessed Godsbrain Smart. The firm and outspoken media personality is a Christian and a member of the church of Pentecost. He was born on 5th May 1975 in a small village in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

Godsbrain got his secondary education at Apam Senior High School in the Central Region. He then earned a diploma in mass communications and a degree at Garden City University.

Captain has worked with Fox FM in Kumasi, then OTEC FM, Kesewa Radio, and Nhyira FM of the Multimedia Network. Godsbrain replaced the then-famous Adakabre at Adom 106.3 FM after the latter's resignation. He created Adom FM's Fabewoso show in 2011 and made it one of his trademarks. After seven years, he left the station to join Angel 102.9 FM in Accra. 

Captain Smart landed another job at Media General's Onua TV and Onua 95.1 FM in Accra after resigning from Angel FM in May 2021.

Smart has over 20 awards, including the September 2020's best Morning Show presenter recognition in the Greater Accra Region from the Foklex Media Awards. Captain Smart still soars higher despite the obstacles and controversies surrounding him. His talent and skills make him one of the most sought-after radio personalities in West Africa.

Captain Smart has 10 children. He is married to Akosua Dwamena and blessed with a son. Ace Broadcaster, Blessed Godsbrain Smart, aka Captain Smart, dedicated and named his 10th offspring in a grand style at his residence on Saturday, November 13, 2021.
