AAMUSTED Team in high spirit to win first GUSA cross country competition.

All is set for AAMUSTED to make a debut appearance at the GUSA Cross Country competition tomorrow at the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) in Ho, Volta Region.

A contingent of 20 well-drilled athletes and some officials landed at the UHAS campus on Thursday, August 11, 2022 to familiarise with the terrain ahead of tomorrow's competition.

Already AAMUSTED's name is flying high at the UHAS competition. The University's Coach, Julius Baba Apidogo, is the Director of the entire competition.

The team also outdoored its jesseys. There is calm in the AAMUSTED camp. Our charges are fully psyched up and ready to put their best feet forward to bring honours to the University.

All they seek is your prayer support as they brace the steep challenge that faces them as gallant warriors in the next few hours from now.

13 universities affiliated to GUSA are fully represented at the 25th GUSA competition. They include UENR, UHAS, Legon, KNUST, UEW, UPSA, GIJ, etc.

The competition is being done under IAAF regulations.

Each competitor is expected to complete a 10-kilometer distance within 80 minutes.

Each of the competing Universities is required to present a team comprising 10 females and 10 males to partake in the respective male and female competitions.

The marks accumulated from the best six finishers from each team would be used to determine the position of any team.
