Krachi West: Poultry farmers pleads with Government to supply them with more poultry.

Poultry farmers in the Krachi west municipality in the Oti region has applaud the Savannah Investment project for giving them a new life after they were supply with poultry.

The Savannah Investment project has given over 50 beneficiaries 200 poultry each and this poultries are layers. The farmers who were happy and can not hide their joy is calling on the government to support them by supplying them with more of birds.

" I have stop farming and this is the only work I survives on. I can now buy my kids books and school uniforms".

Some who also do back yard garden use the drops of the birds as fertilizer in their farms.

The beneficiaries are scattered across the Municipality. This has been helpful to them as some get 3 creates of eggs a today and other more or less.

The Municipal Agric Director, Mr. Atta Adusei who commend the SIP (Savannah Investment project) for the project has been happy with how the farmers are making money from the project.

The MCE Hon Emmanuel Kajal Jalula has appeal to the government to support the Municipality with more of the birds and want to involve himself in the project.

The problems the farmers are facing is when it comes in terms of vaccination. The Municipal has only one vet officer and this has been a worry to the farmers.

The only vet officer,Mr. Marcus has appeal to the government to send in more vet officers so they can help fight diseases affecting the birds.
