Eastern: RTI commission ends leg 1. of it's zone 2 sensitization.

The Right to Information Commission has today, 13th July, 2022 successfully ended first leg of its Zone 2 Regional sensitization tour in Koforidua, the capital of Eastern Region.
This forms part of the Commission's plan of sensitizing heads of public institutions, students and the general public across the country to know their rights and obligations under the Right to Information Act, 2019 (Act 989).
The Commission began its Zone 2 Regional Sensitization yesterday by engaging the public through the media (radio interviews) and held a public lecture to engage heads of institutions, media, students and the general public on Act 989.
Earlier before the engagements, the Commission had paid courtesy calls on the Paramount Chief of New Juabeng Traditional Area, Daasebre Kweku Boateng III and the Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Seth Acheampong and they both exhorted and gave their blessings to the Commission to carry on with its wonderful work it is doing without exhibiting any form of bias in all their determinations so far.
The Commission will begin leg 2 of its Zone 2 sensitization tomorrow, 14th July, 2022 in the Volta Region by engaging the public through the media and holding a public lecture on 15th July, 2022 to climax the day.
Zone 2 of the Commission's sensitization tour consists of Eastern, Volta and Oti Regions. It is expected of the Commission to complete its Zone 2 sensitization tour on 18th July, 2022 at Dambai.
