DJ Ohemaa Wojeye, also known as Adjoa Rasta, born Harey Adjoa Yeboah Asuama, is Ghanaian DJ, Presenter and an Entrepreneur. The only female among her six siblings, Ohemaa, was born in Sunyani in the Bono region. She spent most of her life in Sunyani Zongo and Kumasi Aboabo Zongo.
Wojeye is a multi lingual personality who speaks Bono, Ga, Asante, Fante, Hausa, Dagbane, Ewe, and English.
Ohemaa studied at Komfo Anokye Basic International School, Sunyani Senior High School (SUSEC), Media Net Consult, University of Ghana and Wisconsin International University College.
Adjoa Rasta started her career in 2003. She has worked with Nkosuo Radio 95.3 FM in Kumasi (now Bohye 95.3 FM), Sky 96.7 FM in Sunyani, Zuria 88.7 FM in Kumasi, Top Radio 103.1 FM & Top TV In Accra, Adom 106.3 FM & Adom TV in Accra, Angel 102.9 FM & Angel TV in Accra (where she currently works) and various newspapers in her about nineteen (19) years journey in the media industry.
Ohemaa Woyeje has won many trophies đ„đđ
to her name. She won Best Female Radio DJ of the Year at the 2016 Ghana DJ Awards, took home the best female radio DJ of the year at the 2017 Ghana DJ Awards, was adjudged the Most Authentic Voice on Radio in Ghana at the 2020 edition of Pan-African Heroes Award, was named the radio personality of the year 2020 at the Ghana Outstanding Women Awards (GOWA). Ohemaa was crowned best radio female DJ at the 2021 Ghana DJ Awards.
Woyeje owns Ohemaa Wojeye Shito, Ohemaa Woyeje Pub and other businesses.
The award-winning deejay and presenter Ohemaa Wojeye is married to Emmanuel Yaw Owusu Kusi who lives in Europe. Mr and Mrs Kusi are blessed with a beautiful daughter Maame Akosua Sarpomaa.
