Binduri MP participate in nation wide tree planting exercise.

As part of the steps to acquire plants in the environment to produce proper vegetation, oxygen among others, the MP for Binduri who double as the Deputy Minister for Works and Housing, Hon. Abdulai Abanga in collaboration with the substantive Minister cum MP, Hon. Francis Asenso Boakye have joined thousands of Ghanaians to plant trees.
The exercise was held on June 10th, 2022 in relation to the government of Ghana's initiative "Green Ghana; Let's Go Planting"under the supervision of the Ghana Forestry Commission.
The target of the Green Ghana day 2022 (June 10th) is to plant at least 20 million trees across the country. As part of the "Green Ghana" campaign, government provided free seedlings to all individuals, government and non-governmental organisations, traditional leaders, educational and religious institutions willing to roll up their sleeves and help out.
The Green Ghana initiative seeks to;
• Create enhanced national awareness on the necessity for collective action towards restoration of degraded landscape in the country.
• Inculcate in youth the value of planting and nurturing trees and their associated benefits.
• Mitigate watersheds.
• Enhance livelihoods towards communities through engagement in the production of trees seedlings.
• Beautify our communities and environment.
