Turn on Facebook protect by June 3, 2022 or risk losing your Facebook account.

Facebook, an American online social media and social networking service provider owned by Meta platforms has introduced a new security feature for Facebook users. The new security feature called Facebook protect, uses advanced security measures to help defend user’s account against potential vulnerabilities.

The social media giant has given up to June 3, 2022, users to turn on this feature on their accounts or risk not having access to their accounts. After the deadline, a user cannot access his/her account unless the Facebook protect is turned on.

How to enable Facebook protect.
1. Log into your Facebook account
2. Go into security and settings and look for Facebook protect option
3. Follow the steps to enable the program/feature for your account

Why is Facebook protect required for your account?

Hackers are often motivated to attack accounts that have a lot of followers, run a lot of pages or hold some community significance. The introduction of Facebook protect is to defend against these hackers. For this feature to be successful on your account, you need to have a strong password and also turn on two step verification on your Facebook account.
