Afadzato South: DCE Presents Desks to Education Directorate.

The Afadjato South District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Etornam James Flolu has handed 100 dual desks to the Afadzato South District Education Directorate to ease congestion and facilitate effective teaching and learning in the schools.
The said desks are expected to be distributed to some schools in the district.
The donation, according to him became necessary due to the numerous calls by educational authorities.
He said the desire of government is to ensure quality education is provided to all children of school going age.
At the forecourt of the Afadzato South District Assembly on Thursday, May 26, 2022 to do the presentations, the DCE emphasized that the Assembly's promise to provide 2500 dual desks before the end of 2022, is still on course.
Mr. Flolu said the Assembly, last week donated 100 dual desks to Ve Senior High School and will do same to other schools as and when the desks arrive.
The DCE also reiterated his desire in eliminating the furniture deficits in schools in the district.
He urged the education directorate to task managers of the schools to exhibit good maintenance culture and ensure the furniture is used for its intended purpose.
The DCE, asked the Assembly to support him make a statement in the education sector in the district before he leaves office later in 2024.
He also reiterated his resolve to ensure that the intended project to construct 5 ICT labs in the district is fulfilled.
Mr Flolu also disclosed that his outfit will on Friday, May 27, 2022, hand over a completed classroom block to the D/A school and the Community here in Golokuati.
The Human Resource Manager, Mr Teku Seth Kojo, who represented the District Director of Education, Dr Esther Yeboah-Adzimah at the gathering, commended the assembly for their constant support to the educational development of the area.
He noted the donation was timely and pledged his outfit’s readiness to take proper care of the furniture and also asked for more school structures in the district.
He urged teachers and school authorities to practice good maintenance culture so the desks can last for a long time with them.
