The Prisons Administration, led by the Director General of Prisons, Mr. Isaac Kofi Egyir, has paid a courtesy call on the Anglican Diocese of Accra.
Receiving the Prisons delegation yesterday at the Bishop's Court of diocese, His Lordship, RT. REV'D DR. Daniel Sylvanus Mensah Torto, the Anglican Bishop of Accra gave a brief on the administrative structure of the diocese.
The Director-General of Prisons stated that the purpose of the visit was to, first of all, present himself to the Bishop and ask for his blessings and advice as he assumes the mantle of authority as the head of the Ghana Prisons. He would also seize the opportunity to give the diocese an insight into the programmes and activities of the Prisons Service, especially in areas of agriculture, reformation and rehabilitation inmates.
