The Team of the Tournament, which was released on Thursday, April 7, has 5 players from Rwanda, 3 from host Nigeria, 2 from Sierra Leone and 1 from The Gambia.

Serwaa, was the first player to score boundary 6 at the tournament, a ball from Kumbah Bah in the 16.6 over, at a time she had 19(19). Giselle Ishimwe from Rwanda, was the other player to have scored a boundary 6 twice, and against host Nigeria; 1 in the round robin and another in the finals.

Felicia, in an interview with TalksenseSports expressed her joy for making it to the final 12 for the tourney.

“I really didn’t expect this but I am very honored and very happy to be part of the team. We all prepared to perform better but we couldn’t deliver like we did in 2018. I targeted more accolades but ended up with only 1. I have taken a lot of lessons from Rwanda, Nigeria, Sierra Leone players and I have already started preparations to be better in future tournaments.”
Felicia Serwaa stole the show at the 2018 edition of the NWACC tournament in Ghana and after a spirited performance, was adjudged the Player of the tournament and Best Batter with a total of 115 runs off 93 balls from 3 innings, apart from 2 player of the Match accolades.

Ghana, finished 4th after losing the 3rd place game against Sierra Leone by 10 wickets, in the first edition of the 5-nations Access bank sponsored 1 week tourney.

Rwanda emerged champions after their revenge on host Nigeria in the finals on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at the Tafawa Balewa Square Cricket Oval.
