Enterprise Life Ghana supports Sunyani Central and Female Prisons.


Enterprise Life Ghana, an insurance company, has made a donation of four hundred bags of cement worth more than twenty thousand cedis (GHC20,000.00) to the Sunyani Central and Female prisons. The bags of cement are to be used to support developmental projects in and around the prison facilities.
 Presenting the donation, Mr. Alex Baah Inkoom, the Aassistant GGeneral Manager, Agency Channel of the company, stated that the donation was the company’s “widow’s mite” to the prison in response to a request from the regional command. The three hundred (300) bags are earmarked for the multipurpose training structure for staff which includes giving a facelift to the Prisons Canteen and renovation works in the male prison yard while the remaining hundred (100) bags are also to be used to support the renovation works at the female prison.
Receiving the donation, the OIC/Regional Commander, DDP Benedict Bob-Dery expressed his gratitude to the company for its gesture, adding that the donation would help facilitate the construction of the multipurpose training ground at the station. He commended management of Enterprise Life Ghana for maintaining the good relationship between the Service and the company and appealed for more support to ensure the completion of the on-going renovation works at the prison.
The multipurpose training facility is being built for the training of officers. The renovation of the canteen and the prison yard are part of on-going projects to give the facilities a facelift. The Prisons Canteen is open to the public with a large percentage of income generated from its operation used to cater for administrative and welfare needs of inmates.
Present at the donation were Mr. Anthony Amponsah, branch manager of Enterprise Life Ghana, Mr. Enoch Amankwaah, Sales manager and some senior and junior officers drawn from the male and female prisons.
