Volta: Coastal Development Authority (CODA) cut sod for the construction of ICT Centre for Amedzofe Community.


On Wednesday 16th March 2022, the Coastal Development Authority (CODA) together with the Ho West District Assembly, Hon. Assembly Member for the Electoral Area, Chiefs and Elders of the Amedzofe community broke ground for the commencement of construction works of a 40 seater ICT centre at Amedzofe Technical Institute.
Speaking briefly at the ceremony, the Regional Monitoring and Evaluation Officer of CODA, Mr. Selorm Gakpetor disclosed that the facility is being funded by the government's One Million Dollar One Constituency initiative. He stated that the contractor KOF SOLUTIONS will come to site within two weeks and the project will be completed at the end of the year.
The Chief of Kokolipome Clan, Okusie Korkor Otubrum V was very grateful for the project and indicated their unflinching support to ensure that the facility is done to encourage ICT in the community. He also took the opportunity to appeal to the President to fulfil his promised of constructing their town roads when he paid a visit to Amedzofe.
Present at the ground breaking were the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Wisdom Kporngor, Regional Monitoring and Evaluation Officer of CODA, Mr. Selorm Gakpetor; Community Outreach Officer of CODA, Mr. Robert Odoum; the Chief of Kokolipome Clan, Okusie Korkor Otubrum V and his elders; the Contractor of Kof Solutions, Mr. Adjetey Okang; Assembly Member for the Electoral Area, Hon. Robert Ameh; the Principal of Amedzofe Technical Institute; District Planning Officer, Mr. Ebenezer Nkrumah; District Works Engineer, Mr. Solomon Hormeku; Procurement Officer; Mr. Raymond Elliason, District Information Officer; Miss Emma Sekyere, and Assist. Director IIB, Miss Vincentia Broni.
