Keta: Nyornuzaze (Smart Woman) in Digital Skills officially launched.


Nyornuzaze in Digital Skills; a digital skill training program for women has been fully launched at Keta on Friday under the theme: Achieving an equal future in a Covid-19 world through Digital Skills.
This initiative is powered by GIZ Ghana in partnership with Developers Academy; an innovative hub that identifies, nurtures and develops startups for decent jobs situated at Keta in the Volta region and Oti regional capital, Dambai.
The training target fish mongers and petty traders in the Kedzikope and Vodza community between the ages of 18 to 40 years. 
Speaking at the launch, the Hon. MCE for Keta, Hon. Emmanuel Gemegah who doubles as the Guest Speaker, encourages the women to embrace digital systems and use them judiciously for the promotion of their businesses.
He also encourages the women to be abreast with the digitalization change coming now most importantly considering the Covid-19 pandemic globally.
Addressing the media about the importance of the training, Mr. Simeon Martey Kwawununu; the Executive Director mentioned, the economy of Ghana is largely dependent on women and the informal sector hence, any activity to support and increase their productivity is a key factor to consider under current happenings in the world. Again, he mentioned the training is a pilot hence after April, they will consider other communities as well seeing the huge reception and interest of the target groups across. 
The Ghana Hubs Network Chairman Mr. Josiah Eyison was also present to support the Developers Academy team. He expresses his joy seeing the great impact of their many initiatives and pledges his support to see Developers Academy bring more of such programs to the Volta and Oti regions of Ghana.
Interacting with some beneficiaries, they expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the organizers of this powerful initiative and ask for more blessings for them to train all women in the various communities in the region.
