Hon. Woyome lobbied Isuzu pick-up for St. Catherine Girls SHS, Agbakope

The Honourable Member of Parliament for South Tongu Constituency, Mr. Wisdom Kobena Mensah Woyome, has lobbied Isuzu pick-up for St. Catherine Girls Senior High School, Agbakope, in the South Tongu District of the Volta Region.

According to Coverghana.com.gh, the strategic and innovative Member of Parliament has officially handed over the pick-up with registration number GV 732-21 to the school through the South Tongu District Director of Education Evelyn Araba Zentey (Ms) on Sunday, 27th March, 2022 at the school premises.

Hon. Woyome explained that, his outfit lobbied the vehicle for the school following a request from the management of St. Catherine Girls Senior High School through the South Tongu Education Directorate led by Madam Evelyn Araba Zentey.

The lobbyist MP who is poised and determined to promote education in South Tongu has initiated his lobbying skills at the Ministry of Education (MoE) through the Ghana Education Service (GES) to ensure that, the school gets its share of a befitting brand new pick-up.

According to MP, this is one among many vehicles he has lobbied for Second Cycle Institutions within the South Tongu District.

The pick-up donated is one of the distributed vehicles to some selected Senior High Schools across the country by the Ministry of Education.

Mr. Woyome explained that, it is his mandate to support quality education in South Tongu by lobbying educational materials, infrastructure among others.

He explained that, his office will continue to lobby for the necessary logistics to support effective and smooth administration and delivery of academic activities in educational institutions.

Mr. Woyome noted that, he remains a strategic stakeholder in education and remains fully committed to supporting education in South Tongu to help improve learning outcomes.

He also used the opportunity to thank the Ministry of Education and Ghana Education Service for accepting his request and honouring it.

The South Tongu District Director of Education Evelyn Araba Zentey expressed her appreciation to the MP for exhibiting his maximum lobbying skills towards education in the area. She also called on the MP to continue his support across schools in the area.

The Headmistress of St. Catherine Girls Senior High School Madam Evelyn Dogbatse thanks the MP for his continued support towards the school. She appealed to the MP and other stakeholders to channel more resources to the school since its the only Girls Senior High School within the District and by extension Tongu land.
