First Lady Mrs. Rebecca Akuffo-Addo honoured by Denyaseman Hemaa, Nana Adutwiwaa Bonin III.

First Lady of the Republic of Ghana, Mrs. Rebecca Akuffo-Addo has been honoured by the Paramount Queen of Denyase Traditional Area, Nana Adutwiwaa Bonin III at a brief ceremony in Accra.
According Nana Adutwiwaa Bonin III, the contributions of Mrs. Rebecca Akuffo-Addo towards championing the general wellbeing of both women and children in the country is unparalleled and commendable hence the honour.
"From afar, i have been admiring the dedication and hardwork of First Lady, and so paying a courtesy call on her was to show gratitude and appreciation for her contributions to the development of Ghana in general. Her involvement towards the construction of Mother and Baby Unit, MBU at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi and other monumental projects at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra is worth commendable". Nana Bonin III explained.
Mrs. Akuffo-Addo was honoured with a special traditional stool, designed by special craftsmen in Kumasi for this intended purpose.
Nana Hemaa used the occasion to highlight some key projects, her outfit will need the assistance of government, which includes revamping the Denyase Senior High School, establishment of a Gari Factory, construction of classroom blocks for various primary schools in the community, provision of educational scholarships to needy but brilliant students, among others.
First Lady on her part expressed grave satisfaction towards the gesture of the paramount queen and the entire people of Denyase traditional area. She promised to work side by side with various stakeholders including traditional authorities in a bid to foster developments across the country, most especially in the area of health and education.
Mrs. Akuffo-Addo also reiterated her commitment towards addressing some pressing needs of the people of Denyase traditional area as petitioned by Nana Adutwiwaa Bonin III.
Denyase is a community within the Bekwai constituency of Ashanti Region of Ghana. The traditional area includes communities such as Denyase, Poano, Huntado and Kumasi Adiemera among others.
