Upper East: Police arrest Two suspected robbers.


The surveillance team of the Ghana Police Service in the Upper East Region of Ghana has arrested two suspects on Saturday 19th February,2022 for robbery.

 According to ASP David Fianko-Okyere, the Public Affairs Officer
Upper East Regional Police Command, the arrested of the suspects was through an intelligence picked up by the team from Nabdam areas, the suspects Atanga Francis aged 30 and Amidu Safianu aged 27 were caught with one TVS motorbike with registration No. M-21-U 4696 which is suspected to be robbed from Nabdam.

 A check conducted on the residents of the suspects at Some and Yikene respectively reveals that,the suspect Atanga Francis has in his possession unregistered Honda motorbike which was hidden in his elder brother's room.
The elder brother Atanga Emmanuel aged 32 was picked as suspect and the items retrieved.
Meanwhile, all suspects have been detained and the motorbikes retained for further investigations,the police states.
