Issues of “wee” trade among students of Taviefe SHS will stop- Chief assures

The Parent and Teachers Association (PTA) chairman of Taviefe Senior High School (TASEC), Nene Baah, has lamented on the attitude that is finding it ways into the students.
He made his observation known during the sod cutting ceremony for the construction of a 160 bed capacity girls dormitory with 24 seater toilet facility for the Taviefe Senior High School (TASEC) by GNPC.
However, the Paramount Chief of the area, Togbe Tenku Kodzo Zigah lll, has admitted to the fact that discipline, among students is on its verge of collapsing in the school.
“We have realized that smoking and selling of “wee” among the student and the youth is true. As I speak, one of the youth is in jail for selling the herb to the students.”
Togbe said, the Chiefs of Taviefe together with the school Authorities are readily managing the situation to put a stop to it from further escalating.
He further assured that, mechanisms are in place to check those selling and smoking the drug and arrange them before the school’s disciplinary committee and other appropriate authorities.
