Hohoe: Hon. Amewu donated to seamstress and Tailors.


Member of Parliament for Hohoe, Hon. John Peter Amewu has donated 30 sewing machines to seamstresses and tailors in his Constituency.
The donation came when he was gracing a graduation ceremony for Hohoe Association of Tailors and seamstresses over the weekend on specific date and venue.
In all, over 30 men and women passed out successfully in the study of fashion and dress making and are expected to receive the donated machines from the leadership of their unions.
Delivering a speech at the event, the Hon. MP encouraged them to take their training and trade seriously as it is their gateway to succeed in life. 
He stated that, "the tailors and seamstresses form a major part of our society and are dear to my heart in my Economic transformation program for Hohoe".
He added that, "these people form a core part of our society and are a major component of H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's policy to empower our young people economically to become small business owners".

The Hon. Minister also used the opportunity to make some cash donations to each graduand as his personal support for their initial capital to startup their trade.

Mr. Amewu in his concluding speech, touched on his plan to organize some training programs for his constituents in the future to improve their capacity and knowledge.
