NATIONAL CAMP MEETING VENUES AND THEMES FROM 1993 TO 2016

National Camp Meetings came in as an intervention to safeguard the youth of the E.P Church from

engaging in immoral activities during the Christmas season and rather offer them the platform to

build themselves up spiritually in order to usher themselves into the new year well prepared. Thus

the date chosen and settled on for organizing national camp meetings was 26th – 30th December of every year.

The maiden national camp meeting was in 1993 and this followed on in subsequent years as an

annual camp (as stated in the table below) until 2005 when it was revised at the 12th Annual

Delegates’ Congress in Akuamuman Secondary School and decided that national camp meetings should be organized as a biennial event so as to make room for the zones to also host their zonal

camps. Thus the first zonal camp was in 2006.
