Meet Mr Boateng the CPU of Ketasco NSMQ Team.

Mr. Isaac Boateng popularly called “Boatman” is the Head of Department for Science and Coordinator for NSMQ for Keta Senior High Technical School. He is a Dzolalian himself and completed in 1996. He holds a BSc Biochemistry from the University of Ghana.

During a short interview with Him by Mr Kwadzovia, Mr Boateng has asked  why he was always passionate and committed in training and coaching the Ketasco NSMQ team since 2001? 

He responded that “ While in university, most of my colleagues boast over the excellent performance of their schools in the then Brilliant Science and Maths Quiz now NSMQ. 

When the opportunity came for national service , I didn't hesitate the least but to take up teaching so I could contribute my quota in teaching the students as well as helping in the preparation of the Ketasco Science and Maths Quiz Team. My contribution was felt enormously in 2007, when I was recognised by the school as the Best Science Teacher. That singular honour gave me the impetus to contribute immensely towards the training the students for the NSMQ year in year out.

It was therefore not surprising that , for the first time in the history of Ketasco, we were able to beat the then defending champions of the competition to qualify for semifinals for the first time.”

He was again asked about his feeling about his great trios performance?

His response “ I must confess I am overly glad about the height reached by these young heroes and a heroine. Though the target set was to lift the prestigious trophy , I am however satisfied about their performance and pray that , they are helped by some benevolent souls to reach the zenith of their chosen carrier “.
