KETA : MCE took delivery of relief items from Government on behalf OF of tidal wave victims.

This year's tidal wave along the coastline of the Keta municipality, has been phenomenal and it's effect devastating.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Emmanuel Gemegah in earlier conversation with some media outlets, indicated, the situation has been reported to the National Disaster Management Organisation, NADMO for immediate support to be provided to the victims.
He also made a passionate appeal to benevolence organizations to contribute their quota towards the restoration of livelihood for the affected persons.
Yesterday, 09-11-2021 government in it's effort through the National Disaster Management Organization, NADMO provided relief items to the victims.
The Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Emmanuel Gemegah together with the municipal National Disaster Management Organization personnel, received on behalf of the victims, the relief items such as bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, clothes, mattresses, mosquito nets, boxes of mosquito coils, bags of soap, blankets, etc.
The items were delivered by a delegation from the NADMO Secretariat led by Mr. Seji Saji the Deputy National Director of NADMO.
The Municipal Chief Executive in a brief remark, expressed his hearty gratitude for the swift response by government and also assured the team of a fair distribution of the items.
"Kaletor" as popular known said, he has received calls from citizens, home and abroad who are willing to extend their support to salvage the situation and that, he is hopeful a lot more support will be provided.
