Dagombas Are Lovely, Great People – Nzema Queen mothers

 
A delegation of Queen mothers numbering fifty (50) from the Nzema traditional area in the Western Region have praised chiefs and people of Dagbon for their hospitality and culture.

Describing Dagombas at the forecourt of Lamashegu chief’s palace during their visit to Tamale in Northern Region to celebrate the 2021 Damba festival, the Queen Mothers said their friendship with Dagombas will last, per what they saw.
 
Nana Awabe II, who spoke on behalf of her colleagues said they were going to extend similar invitation to the Dagbon chiefs to come and celebrate Kundum festival with them.

The visiting Queen mothers used the opportunity to call on the Mayor of Tamale, Sule Salifu in his office.

This visit, according to people will go along way to strengthen the relationship between Dagbon and Nzema for a mutual benefit.

The Mayor express his excitement about their visit and assured them of the assembly’s support for peaceful celebration.

He used the occasion to also encourage other ethnic groups to do same which will go a long way to promote national peace, unity and cohesion.

The Zung Lana Mahamoud II, Col. Alhaji Mahamoud Tahiru (Rtd), a Council of State member stated that Ghanaians need to promote their culture to promote tourism because it is the surest way to sell the Ghanaian culture to the outside world.
