SUNYANI EAST MP donates towards National Teacher Prize Day


Member of Parliament( MP) for Sunyani East Constituency, Hon Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh has donated an amount of eleven thousand one hundred Ghana cedis (GHC11,100) was donated in all to the Regional Education Directorate, Presbyterian Educational Unit and Ghana National Association of Teachers ( GNAT) through this representatives.

Two Thousand Ghana Cedis(2k) was given to the Presbyterian Educational Unit to support them when they held a two-day Carrier Summit and a Pre Tertiary Orientation for their students. Resource persons from Agriculture, Health, Security, Education, Technical institutions took turns to address them all in a bid to help coach and assist them to take right carrier decisions as they prepare to graduate for SHS and other second cycle institutions.
Reverend Alexander Kwadwo Nyantakyi, the Regional Manager for Presbyterian institutions, receiving the amount, expressed his appreciation on behalf of the Unit to the MP and reaffirmed their support to the Board Chairman for Bui Power Authority for his continuous assistance not just in the area of educational infrastructure but co- curricular activities too.

Also, receiving similar amount on behalf of Sunyani Municipal GNAT, its Chairman, Mr Andrews Gyan indicated the debt of gratitude owed the MP for his continuous and unabated support to their programmes.

The remaining seven thousand Ghana cedis( 7k ) was handed to the Regional Education Directorate which is in support of the upcoming NATIONAL TEACHER PRICE DAY scheduled between 3rd and 5th October this year.
Speaking of behalf of the Directorate, Mrs Ivy Asantewa Owusu, the Bono Regional Director of Education held that, even though she is new in the Region, the exploits of the lawmaker for Sunyani East in the educational sector has resonated so well in the constituency and it is visible for all to see.

She maintained, "it is not everyone who has and would give' the MP, apart from educational infrastructure he has been championing in the constituency, he is also known for his tremendous support for activities like this for which reason we owe him a great deal", she ended.
The representation of the MP had Hon Ansu Kumi, Sunyani East Secretary, NPP, Mr Ebenezer Opoku, Second Vice Chairman, Mr Seth Asare-Badiako(ABS) , Bono Regional Communications Director and my good self Abubakari Yakubu( Baba Amando) , Special Aide to the MP and Communications Team Member, Bono Region.
