PRESIDENT AKUFO-ADDO APPOINTS HON AKWASI AMEYAW-CHEREMEH AS BOARD CHAIRMAN FOR BUI POWER AUTHORITY.

President Akufo-Addo has appointed the Member of parliament for Sunyani East Hon. Akwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh as the Board Chairman for the Bui Power Authority.

President Akufo-Addo announced this when he met the Sunyani Traditional Council to mark the beginning of his two days working visit to the Bono Region and also to thank the chiefs and the people for the support in the last elections and their show of commitment towards his administration expecially during the peak of the pandemic.

Speaking before the Traditional Council, President Akufo-Addo said, Hon Akwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh rich political experience will help bring progress and revitalise the authority.

The President as part of his two days working visit is expected to inspect and commission projects, visit the chiefs and the people of Berekum, Wamfie, Sunyani, Odumase and Chiraa.

Joining the President for the tour is the Minister for Health Hon Kwaku Agyemang Manu, Minister for Employment and Labour Relations Hon Ignatius Baffour Awuah, Hon Akwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh Member of Parliament for Sunyani East, Deputy Minister for Justice and Attorney-General Hon Lawyer Alfred Tuah Yeboah, Hon Stephen Jalula Deputy Minister Roads and Highways, the Bono Regional Minister Justina Owusu-Banahene, Deputy National Secretary Nana Obiri Boahen, the leader of the party in the region Kwame Baffoe Abronye, Kofi Ofosu Boateng the Regional Secretary and other high ranking officials.
