Oti: MPs successfully embarked on an Eye Screening and Surgery Exercise
Thursday, August 26, 2021
The Oti Regional Communication Bureau wishes to commend highly the Members of Parliament for their commitment in championing the health needs and betterment of their Constituents.
Their efforts in the ended Eye Screening and Surgery exercise has not only earned them the trust of their Constituents but has also gone a long way to deepen the confidence of the people that, they have indeed selected legislators who care about their wellbeing.
This exercise was followed keenly from the various Constituencies where the screening took place and the final destination at St.Joseph's hospital where surgery of those diagnosed with cataracts took place.
Am confident and optimistic in my interactions with the beneficiaries at the St.Joseph Hospital that, our MPs efforts have been appreciated a lot.
Again, my personal interactions with the specialists(Doctors) has also revealed how our MPs brought this special initiative to the door steps of their Constituencies, providing publicity, accomodation, feeding for staff, transporting patients from the various communities to the hospital, providing pocket money for beneficiaries etc. just to make the exercise a success.
The Oti Regional MPs caucus have demonstrated their readiness and ability to give a quality health care to their Constituents which is highly commendable.
Attached are some pictures and videos of a visit and one on one interview for perusal
Much appreciation to all the MPs, the specialists, regional executives, constituency executives, branch executives and all those who contributed significantly towards making the exercise a successful one.
Much regards to the Host MP, Hon.Geofrey Kini, MP for Nkwanta South for his regularly visit to the St.Joseph Hospital and also sharing a word with the beneficiaries.
