Ho West: 7th Edition of Basic Schools' Annual Quiz Competition" set to start.

The Ho West Constituency "Basic Schools' Annual Quiz Competition" (BaSAQ-C) 7th Edition is set to start on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 .

Seventy-three schools are set to compete at the preliminary stage which is the first of five stages of this year's competition that will be held at eighteen selected centres under the supervision of seventy-two quiz officials. 

Since the inception of the quiz competition in the year 2015, Tsito Old JHS, Eli International School, Kpedze Awlime R.C JHS, Anfoeta Tsebi DA JHS and Abutia Teti EP JHS made it to the finals to win the ultimate position with Tsito Old JHS winning the maiden competition in 2015 and the immediate passed one in 2020. The BaSAQ-C has however become highly competitive over the years and the 2021 winning school cannot be easily predicted.

The Member of Parliament, Hon. Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah who is the sole sponsor of the competition, urges the students to continue to study hard and justify the investments he makes in education within the constituency with their performances during the Basic Education Certificate Examination. He is promising to continue to support the educational needs of schools, teachers and students so as to improve the quality of education in the constituency and secure the future of our dear nation.
