The discrimination against Ewes is unfair and must stop – “Ayigbe” Edem speaks against ethnocentrism

Ghanaian rapper Edem has spoken against what he describes as sheer discrimination against the third largest ethnic group in Ghana, the Ewes.

According to him, the wanton show of disregard for people who are predominantly from the Volta Region of Ghana is quite crazy and needs to stop.

Tweeting about this volatile ethnocentrism issue on Twitter, Edem pointed out instances where Ewaes are treated with disdain just for the sake of it.

According to him, Ewes are disrespected, looked down upon and sometimes refused marriage. Edem believes the time is up for Ewses to be treated fairly.

In a nutshell, Edem is speaking against Ethnic superiority or tribal supremacy where individuals of different ethnic or tribal inclinations are treated badly and looked down upon.

He wrote: You would never ever truly feel how Ewes are treated till you are in the skin of one..From insinuations ,to preconceived notions,to subliminal disdain and disregard ,at work places in social circles ,to marriage ,in closing deals,it’s crazy #Unapologetic #Ayigbeboy
