GCB DONATES PPE TO HEALTH FACILITIES/HOSPITALS IN VOLTA, OTI, EASTERN REGIONS




GCB Bank Ltd has donated a number of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to some major health facilities and hospitals around the country as part of the Bank’s commitment towards controlling the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The PPE donated by the Bank include safety goggles, coveralls, wellington boots, sanitisers and rubbing alcohols for the use of doctors, nurses and other frontline health workers in the areas.

The beneficiary facilities and hospitals are the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) Testing Centre in Ho, Ho Teaching Hospital, Ho and Ketu South Municipal Hospital in the Volta Region, Krachi East District Hospital, Nkwanta South District Hospital, Kadjebi District Hospital and Hohoe Municipal Hospital in the Oti Region.

Other beneficiaries are St. Martins De Porres Hospital at Odumase Krobo and Atua Government Hospital Odumase Krobo/Manya Krobo in the Eastern Region, Ewutu Senya East Municipal Hospital, Kasoa and Ga Central Municipal Hospital in the Central and Greater Accra Regions.

The presentations were made by the Regional and Branch Managers of the various regions on behalf of the Management of the Bank.

Mr Victor Asenso Boadi, Manager of Somanya GCB Branch presented PPEs to the Atua and Saint Dominic Hospitals in Krobo Odumase/Manya Krobo.

Mr Osei Owusu Bempah, the Hospital Administrator of St Martins de Porres Hospital on behalf of the two institutions and surrounding communities, received the PPEs.

Mr Joseph Agyemang, Business Development Officer of GCB, in charge of Volta/Oti Regions lead the presentation ceremonies in those regions.

Professor Harry Asmah, Dean of Biomedical Science and Dr Kwabena O. Duedu, officer in charge of Testing at the Centre received them.
