Ketu South (V/R): Divine Kporha Charity Foundation donates to Visually Impaired and Elderly.
Monday, May 25, 2020
Divine Kporha Charity Foundation with support from Selfless4Africa, Bernel Health Foundation and other individuals.
Early morning, we defied the downpour to donate food items to the visually impaired of Ketu South Municipal Assembly and to 25 elderly persons in Huime-Agordome.
The donation came as a result of COVID-19, wrecking havoc across the globe which led the Ghanaian government to close all borders as a measure to curb the spread of the virus from neighbouring countries.
The closure of the Aflao border has brought untold hardships to individuals who live along the border and ply their trade in neighbouring Togo hence cannot cross to and fro across the border as was the case before the outbreak of the virus. Visually impaired persons in letter written to the Charity Foundation, indicated they are scared to even go out to beg for alms.
Food items including a bag of 5 kilogram rice, a liter of frytol cooking oil, two tins of sardine, a spaghetti, sachets of processed tomatoes, a hand sanitizer and nose masks.
The smile on their faces summarizes the impact made.
