MAKSTEC IN WATER CRISES OVER OWING GHANA WATER COMPANY.

Mafi Kumasi Senior High Technical School - MAKSTEC in the Central Tongue district of the Volta region has been hit with water crises affecting the smooth running of academic activities in the school.
Speaking to Hon. Moore Zonyra the District Chief Executive who admitted to the issue disclosed that the school owes Ghana Water Company about Ghc200,000.00 which resulted to the shutdown of the water system in the school.
He made it known that, currently the assembly has taken a decision buying water for the school every week starting 26th February 2020 until the issue is resolved.
Hon. Zonyra added that the assembly has made plans to contact the community water supply to take over water supplies to the school.
The Central Tongu DCE revealed, the assembly is also setting up committee to look into the water billing system of the school to figure our why the school always has it bills high than other schools in the area.
Further on other developmental issues the DCE assured that efforts are far advance in signing new water project with a Japanese company on Friday 28th February 2020 just for the Central Tongue District to supply water to some villages within the district aside the government's €11.5m water project that cut across to Agortime-Ziofe, Adaklu and Ho-West districts.
