Dancehall King Shatta Wale, all-time king of Ga rap (Tinny), ‘Nothing I Get’ hitmaker (Fameye), Jupiter, Bandybwoy, Article Wan among others are set to rock the Bukom Square today, August 17 in a mammoth performance .
The hugely anticipated event, which is tipped to be overbooked, with the proposed venue spilling over with teeming fans, has been put together by Loud Mix and Halifax Entertainment.
The event, which is the official shut down party for the Gamashi Homowo and would happen at the Bukom Square in the heart of Accra, is dubbed ‘Loud In Bukom’.
“My first time to Rock Bukom harddddd!!!! Fans, pls come and celebrate Homowo with me this 17th..Don’t miss it !!!! Mark the date !!! I love you all ❤๐๐ฝ๐๐๐ #KingAlready”, was how Shatta Wale confirmed the performance on his official Facebook wall.
This is the fourth edition in a row. The first three editions were exclusively organised by Halifax Entertainment, under the name ‘Gamashi Homowo Bash’, but this year’s edition is being partnered byLoud Mix GH.
Tinny, the veteran hiplife act, whom Wale often refers to as “godfather,” confirming his participation on the Saturday event, on the ‘Best Entertainment Show’ hosted by Halifax Ansah-Addo on Okay 101.7 FM, called on all his fans to be present at the venue.
”Saturday is going to be mad. Godfather and Son on one stage won’t be an easy treatment, Halifax. Wale is a show stopper and with my involvement, I can promise my fans a good treatment at the Bukom Square.” he indicated.
Tinny is a Ghanaian rap luminary, and best known for class pieces such as “Mokola Kwakwe,” “I Believe I Can Fly,” “Ringtone” and a host of others.
The last minute announcement of the music concert came as a surprise because it was made public with just five days to the event. However it has been greeted with cheers and has already gone viral.
The concert would be aired live on Zylofon TV .
